Native to the Pacific Northwest, Cratageous douglasaii lives in my backyard and calls the robins each year in droves. The berries are black with 2 seeds. The thorns are said to have been used for Jesus’s crown. They range in size from 1” to 2” inches long. Hawthorne is heart medicine. This scarf was Shamanic Chic®'s signature piece designed in 2008. Wearing it gives the uplifting vibrancy of the healing heart medicine of Hawthorne, the color and the protective medicine of the thorns of this plant ally.
